It can be fitted under a range of flooring options, from wood to parquet, and is especially effective with laminate floors. Why Use Heating Foil?
It’s impressively thin, at only 3 mm thick, and is electronically controlled via a digital clock thermostat with a floor sensor. This ensures that the floors warm up quickly and evenly, and you can even limit the heating foil to a specific maximum temperature. It also takes into account the time it will take to reach the required temperature, so you know that your floors will be lovely and warm exactly when you want them to be.
The foil works best when installed on top of a 6 mm polystyrene insulation plate, which improves the overall heat insulation. Even better, it also serves a noise dampening function, which only increases the comfort you will feel once you’ve installed it.
The underfloor heating foil is available in rolls of 5, 10, and 15 m², and requires 120 watts per m². Keep in mind that it can only be cut at every 20 cm mark, so it might be better to buy the next size up and to remove the surplus foil.
