The Vinyl Floor trays are specifically designed with vinyl floor coverings in mind. The trays are re-enforced with a non-woven waterproof membrane that is factory glued to the tray creating a much more durable top surface. The trays also come with special drains that offer a frame feature that clamps down onto the edge of the vinyl floor covering securing it to the drain body as well as protecting the edge from ever peeling back.

Showerlay OneWay Line

The one-way Sloped trays are wedge shaped. This means that the sides of the tray will have a gradual step down into the tray. If you have one side open you will need to finish this step with tile trim or similar product in order to close off the exposed edge of the floor on that side. The advantage of a one-way tray is that there are no angled cut lines to worry about and the sides and end of the tray do not have sloped sides. That need to be integrated with each other.

Trimmable Linear Drains

The Intensi linear drain is unique in a few ways. It is very slim and sleek compared to other linear drains that we offer, it has the option for either a single or double waste trap system which will increase the flow rate capacity of water that can be drained, and finally, the length of the drain can be adjusted to fit on site in just minutes with a kit that is supplied with the drain. The length of the drain is 1200 mm, but you can easily trim this down to a minimum of 500 mm.

Our Premium Square Gullies are available in multiple sizes, models and has a wide choice of different drain covers to add the perfect finish to your wet room. The standard sizes we supply are 100 x 100 mm, 120 x 120 mm and 150 x 150 mm. Increasing the size of gully provides improved access to the channel and waste outlet, which will allow maintenance and cleaning to be easier.

Our Premium Square Gullies are perfect for a tiled finish. Its central flange allows for a water tight sealed edge with the surrounding sub floor and it has a raised lip space of 15 mm to 20 mm (depending on model). This raised lip gives you space for your tile thickness, adhesive and any other possible materials, such as underfloor heating. These gullies also come with a selection of brushed or polished stainless steel drain covers. Our most popular drain covers is a tileable slot (Pure), which allows you to match your surrounding floor tile with your drain cover.

Square Trap Top

Our Wiper Square Gully dry trap doesn’t rely on a conventional water sealed waste trap system. It operates on a non return valve system that allows waste water to pass, but automatically closes to stop the return of any waste or sewer smell, even after water evaporates in your pipes. Additionally, this square gully also has an adjustable height, which allows you to match your material build up height to the lip of the gully drain. It also has all the added benefits of our Premium gullies with a selection of stainless steel drain covers to choose from.

Waterproofing is an essential part of creating a wet room. You need to protect the room from water damage if water were to ever penetrate the floor and wall coverings. The easiest way to waterproof a room is to create a waterproof layer that will act as a barrier and keep the water penetration to a minimum.

One of the ways we recommend accomplishing this is with one of our Waterproofing kits. Our kits are based on the size of the area you need to tank. Each kit comes with 4kg of PCI lastogum which is a paint of sealant and covers approx. 3.5 m2. You also get 10 m of sealing tape, 2 internal corners, 2 pipe collars and 1L of primer. These kits are our best sellers and a great alternative to more traditional membrane based tanking systems. Non woven membrane mats are also a great way to hydro-insensate a wet room. The Advantage of them is that they are not reliant on the surface they are adhered to, to remain waterproof. If cracks develop in a substrate, the membrane will remain unaffected and the waterproof layer will remain intact.

Tile Backer Boards sets

Tile backer boards create the perfect substrate to tile onto in wetrooms. The can be used on walls and on floors to level out the subfloor or wall giving a flat surface to tile on. They are made of XPS foam which is rigid reinforced with glass fiber and flexible on both sides same as our trays. We offer them with sets fo screw and washers so there is no additional hardware to purchase.

Backer boards are available in a range of thickness depending on their intended use. Thinner boards are intend to be used on floors and solid walls, while thicker boards offer more structural support and can be used on studded walls replacing the need for plaster or cement boards. The advantages backer boards have over plaster or cement boards are that they are waterproof and light weight, and offer acoustic as well as thermal insulation. We recommend going with backer boards anywhere that get wet on a regular bases.

Please notice that the slope ir roughly 2%, exact value depends on the size and thickness of the tray you choose.

Shower screens should be installed right next to the tray, never on top of it.

Do we use primer and tanking liquid over the shower liner or just over the joints.

Hello,

The tray doesn't need to be primed. In addition to that, primer is sometimes completely optional. Primer should be used to strengthen the walls and increase it's absorption.

You should apply the primer on the floor and walls, prior to fitting the tray. It should be left until it's dry.

Then you fix the tray to the floor with adhesive, waterproof it and all the surrounding, then proceed to tiling.

However the manufacturer provides the 300 and 400 mm screens as well.

We currently are present only in UK, however we are able to deliver it to any place in Europe and further, probably to Oman too. Depending on the product specification and the quantity required we can prepare a quote for you.

The total height of that linear drain is only 68 mm, so yes, it can be cast in 70 mm screed. There's no option to have vertical outlet, however we include an elbow to this drain which can be facing any side, for e.g. you can rotate it so it can be connected to the waste system of your property from below.

Total height of this drain from the very bottom of the included siphon trap to the top edge of the frame is 88 mm. You need to cast it in concrete, so the stainless steel flange surrounding the drain is just above the concrete level. Concrete layer needs to be 73 mm thick or more.

Is the inset drain able to be tiled?

Dear Customer,

Pure grating pattern is designed to be filled with tiles indeed. It features of 12 mm deep channel, so if you're tiles are not thicker than that, this product will be suitable for you. At the end of the day there's only grap between the grating and rest of the floor visible, so that's very minimalistic design.

If you're tiles are thicker than 12 mm you should go for Showerlay Wiper 800 x 1200 mm Line Invisible. It doesn't have any vertical frame, so there's no requirement for finish material thickness. You will need to aesthetically cut the tiles probably with water jet to avoid sharp edges.

We'd like to use this slot drain in a 1100 wide x 800 deep alcove, with 600 x 600 tiles. I assume we need to make tiles to either side slope slightly? what do you recommend. thanks Jeremy

Dear Jeremy,

If you have 800 x 1100 mm of space, it might be better to go for 800 x 1200 wet room tray with drain already integrated and slope premachined from every corner of the board to every corner of the drain. It's a very delicate slope yet sufficient for effective water flow.

Shower trays can be cut to avoid obstacles or trimmed down to size, 1200 mm side can be easily cut to 1100 mm with a standard handsaw.

In case you prefer to use a linear drain - that's also possible, however you would need to put an effort to prepare the slope on your own.

What thickness of tile is recommended

Hello,

It depends on your floor base, for timber floor we highly recommend 20 mm thick board and that's because of floor boards' thickness. With proper installation they can be simply replaced. Please see our fitting instructions for more details.

Only real difference between each thicknesses is the slope. Thicker shower tray is steeper at the same time. It might be beneficial to prevent water from getting outside shower area if you think you will have plenty of water running through your shower, however the most important thing to achieve is to have tray flushed with rest of the floor level.

We have the wiper tanking kit and have the instructions for the liquid and primer but nothing that says how the sealing tape/membrane is applied to this layer ? Ie: do we need to let it tac or does it go straight onto the tanking liquid ?Any advise . . .

Dear Tracey,

Sealing membrane should be applied after applying first layer of tanking liquid. It works as a great adhesive to stick sealing membrane. If the first layer is already dry, you can use tile adhesive which also works well.

Everything should be covered with another tanking liquid layer afterwards.

Does the product come with the white trap and short length of piping, as shown in the picture?

I can confirm that the product comes with every part shown on the first product picture, including waste trap and piping.

There are various different waste traps available for this gully, le tme know if you're interested and I will send you more details.

Please notice that this product is not recommended for wet areas such as showers, because it lacks insulation flange and membrane. You should be looking at Premium version of that drain instead.

How do I determine the size of waterproofing kit I might need?

Dear Sean,

Joints between the tray and rest of the floor and the walls is the most important part that needs to be sealed off 3 m2˛ of waterproofing kit is enough for that, should also last to cover the tray itself with it as well with 2 coats.

If you wanted to waterproof more space, maybe even entire floor, then you should go for 6 m2˛.

Hi, what is the difference between Invisible and pure drain cover?

Hello,

I talked to you over the phone but I will leave reply here for other Customers as well.

Both drains are tileable. Invisible is more versatile type, where there's no restriction for floor finish material thickness.

Pure has a vertical frame which is 15 mm deep. Therefore it will accept tiles 4-14 mm thick. Frame makes tiling easier.

Invisible doesn't have any frame at all, therefore it's suitable with any floor finish material thickness. It's a perfect drain for marble, stone or even vinyl.

If I send you a picture can you confirm if my current floor/water gully was supplied by you in about 2012. It looks identical to your one. My mosaic tiles have started to crack and lift. Do I need to replace everything to allow fresh tiles to be lai . . .

It's very unlikely that this drain is delivered from us, since I am not able to find any customer with your details.

However, please measure the length, width and depth of the drain and we will see if we have anything that would fit.

If the drain is ours we could just replace the cover. If it's not supplied by us I am afraid it will need to be ripped off from the floor and installed from scratch.
