is a walk in shower tray with end linear drain. Former is available in three thicknesses, has 2% fall towards the drain, provides great acoustic insulation and is also lightweight while very strong.
Suitable shower drainage is included to former, it comes with 600 mm long steel linear end drain. It also comes with grating which is 64 mm wide, leaving 8 mm wide channel for water to flow. Pure is a slot cover, should be filled with tiles so after the installation only visible part of the tray would be the channel. Height from the shower tray surface to the top edge of vertical upstand is 15 mm, it also goes below the tray for approximately 5 mm. McAlpine siphon trap with capacity of 26 l/min and 20 mm high water seal is also included. Showerlay is complete unit with everything you need.
Wet room kit 900 x 900 mm is second smallest square tray former in our store. Save space with wetroom, with the average UK bathroom not much bigger than a king-sized bed, a wet room can be an ideal space-saving solution.

4-way sloped wet room tray always comes with integrated stainless steel channel. It is waterproofed during the manufacturing process. Board can be 20, 28 or 35 mm thick. Thicker tray is steeper but requires more space, while even 20 mm thick tray provides sufficient slope. In addition to that, thicker tray provides better accoustic and heating insulation.
Thickness: 20 mm
Compression fitting McAlpine waste trap with 26 l/min throughput, 20 mm water seal and 1.5 inch pipe diameter. Requires only 65 mm of space underneath the tray. Fully rotatable and adjustable.
Flow rate: 26 l/min
Easy to use set of ready-mixed sealing materials suitable for waterproofing floor and walls. Contains 4kg of PCI Lastogum tanking paint, 1l of primer, 10m sealing tape, 2 corners and 2 pipe collars per 3 m². Should be used to seal the joints between the floor and walls and to waterproof the drainage. Can be used for entire bathroom insulation. Not required if you have your own waterproofing materials, otherwise very useful and recommended.

If you have timber floor - existing floor board thickness. Usually they are 20 or 28 mm thick, in that case you should go for adequate thick wet room kit, to avoid floor height increase and step ups. If you want to achieve stepped up floor, 35 mm thickness might also be a good choice. Wet room kit timber floor fitting instructions
In case of concrete floor, every thickness is suitable, if you're going to screed the floor you need to shutter the future shower area off and leave proper space for tray to be inserted in the future. If screed has already been done, you will need to use jackhammer or similar tool to groove exact tray thickness and shape when the shower is going to be created. Wet room kit concrete floor fitting instructions
In case of both floor types, every shower tray thickness is enough to bear human weight, as it needs to be underboarded beneath entire surface either with ply or solid concrete. The biggest difference between thicknesses is the slope's angle achieved after installation is completed and shower tray tiled.
Pure drain cover is an internal container that you can insert the tiles into. This type of drain is 100% tile-able.
The tanking kit is a ready-mixed, under-tile tanking system to protect water sensitive substrates from exposure to water. Suitable for wet areas such as bathrooms, showers in residential buildings, hotels, old people's homes and hospitals. Should not be used in places exposed to pressurised water, for an instance swimming pools. Ready to use, no mixing required and easy to apply with a roller. The kit includes a high performance joint reinforcing tape to protect against movement in floor joins and corners etc. The contents are all INSIDE the bucket and the contents are protected in the bucket with polystyrene infill's to stop transit damage. The instructions are printed on the rear of the tanking kit.
For anti-moisture insulation systems in wet rooms and rooms intended for human residence. The tanking liquid is a ready-to-use singlecomponent, solvent-free sealant composed of polymer dispersion, fillers and modifying additives. When applied to the surface, upon binding it creates a flexible and water-insulating layer.
The tanking liquid is a ready to use, single component, solvent-free sealant mass, consisting of polymer dispersion, fillers and additives. When applied to a substrate and cured, it forms a flexible waterproofing coating. The product is intended for use inside places intended for human residence, especially in humid areas (such as bathrooms, kitchens, laundries), to perform insulation against moisture under linings and coverings, such as ceramic tiles, glazed tiles, terracotta, wooden floors and panels, and synthetic carpets.
The product is intended for priming absorbent and porous surfaces, inside and outside buildings. It is especially recommended for cement - limestone plaster, gas concrete, plaster-carton boards and cement plaster. The primer has a high penetration ability, is deeply absorbed into the substrate, thus strengthening it, while allowing for „breathing”. These benefits improve the structure of the substrates, which, due to the passage of time, have lost their appropriate parameters. The priming solution improves adhesion to the surface of other materials that will be used on the primed substrate. By reducing the absorbency of the substrate, the wear of the applied coating materials, emulsion paints, glues, mineral putties reduces as well. The solution, due to the content of the biocide and fungicide, protects the primed substrate against the formation of mold and bacteria in the product.
Can this former be trimmed.
Yes, that's one of feature of those trays. You can use a handsaw to trim them down to size or to avoid obstacles such as uneven walls or corners.
900 x 900 mm tray can be shorten down to a minimum size of 760 x 760, although if you wanted to trim it to be smaller than 800 x 800, then I would recommend to go for 800 x 800 mm wet room tray instead, as it's also one of our standard size.
If you wanted to avoid obstacles it's fine to cut only from one side, however if you wanted to shorten it down to let's say 850 x 850, you should take 25 mm from each side, so pre-machined slopes towards the drain are preserved.
Please notice that we can also supply custom sizes. Let us know what's your shower area and we will reply with the best solution for yourself.
I am happy to assist if you have any further questions.

Can this tray be used with a mortex finish and instead of tiling the waste that could also be mortexed?
While our wet room trays are designed for tiles they are also suitable for other material types like stone, mosaic, marble or polished concrete.
The only restriction is that the drain integrated to the tray protrudes for 15 above the tray. You must make your future floor level flushed with the drain frame. If you can set the tray at correct height, cover it with floor levelling compound and then cover with Mortex it will work fine.
Another thing you should bear in mind is the slopes on the tray which must be preserved. It will be difficult but you should try to cover the tray with mortex layer equally thick on it's entire surface.
Fitting would require more effort, however yes, our trays are suitable with polished concrete-like materials, for an instance Mortex.
Thanks for being interested in our products.
