Showerlay VF 800 x 1200 is a wet room tray for vinyl floor. It comes with an integrated Wiper VF drain with clamping mechanism which allows to secure the edges of the vinyl sheet around the drain. The benefits of this tray are a 100% waterproof seal, prefabricated appropriate slope (1-2%), acoustic and thermal insulation and integrated innovative drain specified for vinyl.

The tray is built on a board made of XPS foam, which is lightweight but durable and offers insulation properties. It is reinforced with fiberglass mesh and cement based glue as well as waterproof membrane. It can also be trimmed down if required to fit a specific dimension.

Ponente plain stainless steel drain cover made of brushed stainless steel is included to the tray just as the McAlpine HC26-50 waste trap with 1.5’’ size outlet. 

800 x 1200 is the second most popular wet room tray size in our store. With its 800 mm width it fit allow installation in limited spaced rooms, at the same time 1200 mm length offers plenty of space for comfortable showering.

Tray size

Showerlay VF is a wet room tray available in 14 standard sizes. The drain is located parallel to the shorter edge. A larger tray offers more space for greater comfort. Your tray size should be chosen to match room and enclosure size. Our trays can be trimmed down to size or to avoid obstacles.

Drain Cover
  • Ponente

There are 3 drain cover patterns available. The flow rate is the same for all of them. They are interchangeable and can be swapped even after installation. Each drain sent out is equipped with a lifting hook which makes cleaning easy.

Thickness

Thickness of the board on the edges. It has 2% gradient on the entire upper surface and is shallower near the drain. The benefit of thicker tray is steeper slope, although even the shallowest trays have sufficient slope for water to flow towards the drain, no matter where it drops.

Waterproofing kit

Waterproofing kit is used to seal shower tray as well as connections between walls and floor. It is recommended for concrete and mandatory for timber flooring. 4-way sloped wet room tray always comes with integrated stainless steel channel. It is waterproofed during the manufacturing process.
Board can be 20, 28 or 35 mm thick. Thicker tray is steeper but requires more space, while even 20 mm thick tray provides sufficient slope. In addition to that, thicker tray provides better accoustic and heating insulation.

As a standard to every order we include a compression fitting McAlpine waste trap with 26 l/min throughput, 20 mm water seal and 1.5 inch pipe diameter. Requires only 65 mm of space underneath the tray. Fully rotatable and adjustable.

If our default waste trap does not fulfil your requirements, we have various other waste traps available which are compatible with our products. We can supply them at the same cost and speed as the default trap. Drop 50 is an interesting choice, with a 48 l/min flow rate and 50 mm deep water seal, making it compliant with building regulations, whilst being only 10 mm higher than a standard trap. To alter your choice of waste trap send us an email or leave a note during your order. Please see the document below for more details.

Easy to use set of ready-mixed sealing materials suitable for the waterproofing of floor and walls. Contains 4kg of PCI Lastogum tanking paint, 1l of primer, 10m sealing tape, 2 corners and 2 pipe collars per every 3.5 m² purchased. Should be used to seal the joints between the floor and walls and to waterproof the drainage. Can be used for your entire bathroom insulation. Not required if you have your own waterproofing materials, otherwise very useful and recommended.

  • Perfect solution for British wooden floors but can also be used on concrete floors. When it is used on wooden floors, the floor must be underboarded after floor boards have been removed,
  • Standard and minimal underboarding ply should be 18 mm thick in case of installation in timber floor,
  • Ideal for a vinyl floor covering. Integrated Wiper VF drain is a clamp type, which features a mechanical locking system, allowing the edges of the vinyl being clamped and protected.
  • The tray can be easily trimmed on-site should you have any obstacles such as pipe boxings or uneven walls,
  • Compatible with underfloor heating systems, however due to insulation properties, the warming effect will be restricted if the heating is installed under the tray

Should not be used in places exposed to pressurised water, for an instance swimming pools. Ready to use, no mixing required and easy to apply with a roller. The kit includes a high performance joint reinforcing tape to protect against movement in floor joins and corners etc. The contents are all INSIDE the bucket and the contents are protected in the bucket with polystyrene infill's to stop transit damage.The instructions are printed on the rear of the tanking kit.

When applied to a substrate and cured, it forms a flexible waterproofing coating. The product is intended for use inside places intended for human residence, especially in humid areas (such as bathrooms, kitchens, laundries), to perform insulation against moisture under linings and coverings, such as ceramic tiles, glazed tiles, terracotta, wooden floors and panels, and synthetic carpets.

The product is intended for priming absorbent and porous surfaces, inside and outside buildings. It is especially recommended for cement - limestone plaster, gas concrete, plaster-carton boards and cement plaster. The primer has a high penetration ability, is deeply absorbed into the substrate, thus strengthening it, while allowing for „breathing”. These benefits improve the structure of the substrates, which, due to the passage of time, have lost their appropriate parameters. The priming solution improves adhesion to the surface of other materials that will be used on the primed substrate. By reducing the absorbency of the substrate, the wear of the applied coating materials, emulsion paints, glues, mineral putties reduces as well. The solution, due to the content of the biocide and fungicide, protects the primed substrate against the formation of mold and bacteria in the product.

  1. Preparation of floor and walls. Gather required materials and tools.
  2. Establish shower area by lying the shower tray in desired future shower position.
  3. Floor boards removal to expose the joists and avoid increasing total floor height.
  4. Support the drain using ply with hole cut the match the channel shape.
  5. Connect the siphon trap pipe to your waste system.
  6. Prepare even surface with marine plywood board.
  7. Fit the wet room kit using fixing adhesive.
  8. Assembly the drain with siphon trap.
  9. Fill remaining shower area with tile backer boards.

  3. Grind the concrete to prepare a slot for shower tray.
  4. Cut a hole for siphon trap and pipework.
  5. Connect the siphon trap pipe to your waste system.
  6. Prepare even surface by cleaning and bedding the concrete.
  7. Fit the wet room kit using fixing adhesive.
  8. Assembly the drain with siphon trap.
  9. Fill remaining shower area with tile backer boards.
