Bespoke Linear Drains

The 1100 mm Linear drain is one of the longest wet room drainage available in our store. It's one of the most popular wet room drain size. Equipped with necessary parts to fit our linear shower drains are also easy to clean and can be fitted almost anywhere in the shower: in the middle of the floor, against the wall or at the entrance. Will look good in any large wet room or shower area.

The Elite range of linear shower drains is our most versatile drain yet. Firstly, It features an adjustable frame that can accommodate any size of floor finishing from the thinnest of tiles to the thickest of stones. The frame height can be adjusted from 8mm all the way up to 50mm, with height spacers sold separately available to be bought as an addon. Secondly, the drain offers secondary drainage, which allows from any water that may find its way under the floor covering to drain away as well, and not pool under the floor covering.

But most impressive is the amount of choice you get when it comes to the cover. Not only can you choose the length (8 standard lengths available) that works best for your application, you also get to choose the design of the cover (7 styles available). Each style is available in 4 different colours. The drain covers are PVD coated, so they resistant to chipping or fading over time and will remain in pristine condition for years to come. Furthermore each colour is available in 3 different finishes (Polished, Brushed or Matt) so you can really customize the drain and find exactly what you are looking for.

Lastly you also have a choice of waste traps to go with the drain. Depending on the water flow rate or pipe you are connecting to, or the amount of space you have to  work with in the floor. You can choose the trap that works best for your application.

Drain Length

Drain is available in 8 standard lengths. Although they have same technical performance, length of the drain should be matched room requirements. For an instance 700 mm Drain length is recommended for 1000 mm wide shower.

There are 7 drain cover patterns available. The flow rate is the same for all of them. They are interchangeable and can be swapped even after installation. Each drain sent out is equipped with a lifting hook which makes cleaning easy.

Drain Colour

The visible parts of the drain after installation, the frame and cover,can be supplied in different colours. Thanks to PVD coating, which offers high durability and resistance to discolouration, fading or braking down, you can get a drain that will match the rest of your fixtures.

Surface Finish
  • Brushed

There are 3 steel surface finishes available. The Matt finish is a uniform, slightly rough dull finish. The Brushed is a grind steel-smooth finish with visible , one directional brush stroke across the finished surface. The Polished finish is a high gloss, No. 8 mirror finish.

Waste Trap
  • McAlpine HC26-50

Before choosing, you should measure your available installation height. Especially in old flats or builds, where the space is limited, a lower height waste is recommended. As long as you have the space, you could choose one of the higher traps, which also offer high flow rate and better water seal. The following applies to the sealing water: 1 cm of sealing water recedes after approx. one week. Thus, for example, if you choose the "Drop 50", unpleasant odours remain sealed for about 5 weeks.

Waterproofing kit is used to seal shower tray as well as connections between walls and floor. It is recommended for concrete and mandatory for timber flooring. Adjustable frame height

The Elite linear drain has a linear frame that is adjustable from 8 mm to 50 mm in height. This allows for the total build up space you are working with that is required, including the tile thickness, adhesive and any additional materials used such as underfloor heating. We have a supply of height adjustment kits consisting of block spacers and the appropriate length screws to achieve various heights, all of which can be selected during the checkout process. If you decide to change your choice of tile or find the tiles you're using are a different thickness, we can supply the appropriate kit needed.

Double flow system

Our Elite linear drains have a unique double flow system. The linear drain frame and cover are the only visible parts of this system and is the primary drainage of any waste water. However, this raised section allows any water that manages to escape between any tiles or grout that is cracked to flow across the waterproofed subfloor to its secondary drainage area, the embedded subfloor linear channel. This system working in concert with your waterproofing materials gives a combination of protection to your wet room that guarantees you will have no problems with water damage for a lifetime.

Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) is a process carried out on a solid material to change its surface properties. This process not only improves the value and quality of the material, but also adds to its durability and overall protection. Unlike the powder coating process, which will fade and show signs of wear and tear, though chips and tarnishing, PVD coating is far superior to other coating methods used today and is also a certified environmentally friendly process. Our PVD coated drains have improved resistance to wear, corrosion and cleaning chemicals. Also, the coating is so thin, you will be able to see the chosen metal finish of your drain. Finally, you have the added benefit of a brilliant decorative colour and metal finish that will be easy to maintain for a lifetime.

All of our Elite linear drains are grade 304 stainless steel and PVD coated to give them an increased level of durability and resilience to corrosion, wear and tear, as well as a spectacular chosen colour. The linear drain frame and chosen cover will be the only parts visible after installation and will be the only parts that are PVD coated. We have a selection of four colours to choose from, all of which we have found to be the most requested when speaking to customers. The colours available are Brass, which is rising in popularity, Black, a new modern alternative to conventional bathroom decor, Gold, a timeless and prestigious decor that will never lose its style and Silver, the modern day use of this colour for fixtures means more choice when it comes to the style of each fixture.

Surface finishes

Each Elite linear drain has an option of three different surface finishes. This means you can match your linear drain to all your bathroom fixtures not only by colour, but also by material finish.  All four of our colour options have a choice of Brushed, Polished or a Matt finish.  Brushed is our standard option and comes at no added cost. It is also the most practical choice for its resistance to scratching. Polished, is a glossy finish, with a smooth and shiny surface, free of imperfection and reduces the risk of bacterial retention. Finally, Matt, is a non reflective and smooth finish. Its dull, smooth finished surface is a new trend that is growing in bathroom decor projects. Once installed, the only visible parts will be the linear drain frame and cover in your chosen colour and metal finish.

Complete Underfloor Heating Kit
It is possible to include a complete Underfloor Heating Kit to your order. All you need to do is to choose the required size. Additional package, with heating mat, appropriate thermostat, sensor and instructions will be dispatched together with the other goods.

To calculate required mat size you need to get square coverage of the floor and exclude any permanent / fixed fixtures from them. It is also recommended to buy slightly smaller mat than calculated size - you can shape it but cannot cut the cables, therefore too large mat could not be installed.

SUNFLOOR Underfloor Heating
The SUNFLOOR Electric Heating Mat is a unique type of floor heating mat. The system has been designed to be used on an existing tiled floor or an existing finished floor, so that floor heating can still be installed there. The mat is approximately 4 mm thick and can be included in a layer of adhesive without any demolishing or grinding. The mat fits virtually underneath the surface. This decreases the heating time of the floor, that also makes this system suitable for rooms that are not permanently occupied including bathrooms, studies, playrooms, etc.

Underfloor heating mat set consists of all necessary parts for installation. One Thermostat is needed for every 23 m² of heating mat. It is included as optional, to allow ordering mat for custom areas, for example if you need 13 m² of mat total, you should buy 10 m² with one of the thermostats set as include and 3 m² with thermostat not included. In case you require less mat coverage than possible to buy from our product pictures, for example 14.5 m² you should always round low with your purchase and buy 14 m² as the mat is impossible to cut. It can be shaped but not shortened to size.

PVD Coating

PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposition. The PVD coating process creates a thin film coating over a solid material which is vaporized in a vacuum chamber and deposited onto a target material. It is used to change the surface properties of the object to be coated, where new mechanical, chemical, electrical or optical characteristics are needed.

There are many benefits of PVD coating. It can provide a lifetime of protection from daily cleaning, which adds durability and value to our products. Traditional powder coating of stainless steel degrades with time and can easily tarnish or chip. PVD requires no clear top coats that fade or dull. It is four times harder than chrome which makes it corrosion and scratch resistant.

Black bathroom fixtures need a little extra care when it comes to maintenance. To keep its stunning look, you will need to simply wipe down your fixtures after use. Gold will always speak volumes. A bathroom finished with gold fixtures is breath taking and prestigious in its own right. Gold is a very vibrant colour and will allow all your fixtures stand out in any wet room giving it a luxurious feeling.

Silver is a modern traditional colour for bathrooms. Not only will it be easy to match with other fixtures, but it will give any wet room a crisp, clean and refreshing feeling. It's common use means you will have a lot more options with available fixtures in multiple different designs.

All of our drains are made from high quality grade 304 stainless steel. The colour of each drain is due to the PVD coating process. PVD coating of metals has proven to be better than powder coating. It will be more durable and resistant to fading, scratch marks and overall wear and tear. Unlike the powder coating process, PVD coating, also has the added benefit of the metal finish being visible. Ultimately, your drain will look amazing and last for a lifetime.

Our Elite range has many options to choose from. However, the Elite linear drain has a unique feature that sets it apart from all others. It has been tested and thoughtfully designed with the ability to adjust its height during the installation process to match the build up space you require.

Its specialised frame and drain cover has been manufactured to be used in conjunction with an adjustment kit, that will allow you to match the thickness of your floor finish. Having this key integrated feature, the Elite linear drain allows you the freedom to install this tray and select from a wider range of thicker or thinner tiles available on the market today.

With our standard supplied adjustment kits, this Elite drain is able to accommodate between 8 mm to 50 mm for your tile and any other materials such as electric underfloor heating or Ditra mats. However, upon request, an adjustment kit to raise it higher than 50 mm is possibly available.

The parts included in each adjustment kit comprise of a set of specially designed spacers to raise and support the linear drain frame and chosen cover, along with six screws to lock everything into place. Each kit is designed for your chosen height and comes with the set number of spacers required, accompanied with the six appropriate length screws needed.

If you're undecided about the tile finish for your wet room, but have a schedule to keep, you can install the tray and waterproof the room whilst you decide. Your order will have a standard default kit supplied, but additional adjustment kits to match your tile thickness can be ordered separately at a later date after you have found the tile you want.

Double flow

One of the key features that sets the Showerlay Elite trays apart from the rest is that it offers an innovative secondary drainage system. The benefit of this feature is that if any water finds its way underneath the floor covering, it will have a way of draining into the channel and not pooling on top of the tray.

This is accomplished by having the integrated drain comprised of three pieces. The drain body which is factory imbedded into the tray, provides the channel for the primary and secondary drainage. The adjustable frame, which can be raised to the exact height of the finished floor, while also allowing for secondary drainage to find its way into the channel. Finally, the cover which is supported on the frame, providing an elegant finish while allowing access for quick and easy maintenance.

Double flow

This secondary drainage feature has no impact on the way the finished shower tray will look. Only the cover and top edge of the frame will be visible after installation just as if it was an ordinary drain. However the ability to adjust the frame around the channel significantly makes installation easier as you can adjust the height of the frame. All while giving you the added peace of mind that there is an added level of security to ensure water flows down the drain.

The secondary drainage feature, combined with proper waterproofing of the shower tray prior to laying down the floor covering will ensure that the area is dually secured and any moisture that gets below the surface will not cause any damage below. When it comes to the Showerlay Elite tray with this integrated Elite drain you really get a quality product that not only will do what is expected of it, and have the water drain away as quickly and efficiently as possible, but also look great in your new shower or wet room area.

The Showerlay Elite is available in three different surface finishes. Polished, Brushed and Matt. This is great if you are looking for a specific finish to match the rest of your fixtures. The three finishes are available for all available colour options, However the Brushed finish is the standard option that comes at no extra charge. The visible parts of the drain (the cover and frame) will come in the desired finish.

Surface Finish

Polished is a glossy finish. It has a smooth and shiny look that catches the eye. Characterized by a high degree of development, it's free from imperfections. There are numerous functional considerations, in addition to the visual appearance of polished stainless steel. Properly polished stainless steel looks good and helps to reduce the risk of bacteria being retained by the material when it is utilized in sanitary applications.

Surface Finish

Brushed finish is a semi gloss finish. The key difference between brushed and polished stainless steel is that brushed stainless steel has a rough surface, whereas polished stainless steel has a smooth surface. Brushed stainless steel is a type of metal having a dull polish that is made through friction. It is the the most practical of the three as it is the most scratch resistant.

Surface Finish

Matt is a dull finish. This is a very common stainless steel finish that is non-reflective and smooth in nature. The stainless steel is rolled through a special roller for a smooth, less pitted surface, before being descaled in an acid solution and polished for greater smoothness. It is commonly used for chemical and pharmaceutical equipment.
