Bespoke Linear Drains

The Linear drain 600 mm Wiper MCR Ponente PVD Silver represents a range of drains carefully designed for microcement, resin and similar floor coverings. The frame and drain cover offers adjustment from 3 to 12 mm allowing a wide-range of materials to be used together with. Drain is available in variants, making it compatible with variety of shower sizes and designs.

The drain is featuring secondary drainage system, allowing water that seeps through the surface finish to the insulation layer to be drained. Other features list multiple fittings colour, painted in PVD method, a robust and long lasting solution. It is also possible to choose finishing for the drain surface, which can be brushed, polished or mat. Lastly, drain comes together with one of the 7 available drain cover styles, from filable style where material needs to be poured into the cover itself, to squared or stripped pattern.

Waste trap, sealing membrane and adjustable legs are always part of each supplied set. Choose the best waste trap for you, as they offer various flow rates, however requiring a different amount of space and having various connections. Sealing membrane will help you to waterproof the joint between the floor and the drain and legs are optional, can be detached, their role is to level the drain when installed in concrete floor.

Drain Length

Drain is available in 8 standard lengths. Although they have same technical performance, length of the drain should be matched room requirements. For an instance 700 mm Drain length is recommended for 1000 mm wide shower.

There are 7 drain cover patterns available. The flow rate is the same for all of them. They are interchangeable and can be swapped even after installation. Each drain sent out is equipped with a lifting hook which makes cleaning easy.

The visible parts of the drain after installation, the frame and cover,can be supplied in different colours. Thanks to PVD coating, which offers high durability and resistance to discolouration, fading or braking down, you can get a drain that will match the rest of your fixtures.

Surface Finish
  • Brushed

There are 3 steel surface finishes available. The Matt finish is a uniform, slightly rough dull finish. The Brushed is a grind steel-smooth finish with visible , one directional brush stroke across the finished surface. The Polished finish is a high gloss, No. 8 mirror finish.

Waste Trap
  • McAlpine HC26-50

Before choosing, you should measure your available installation height. Especially in old flats or builds, where the space is limited, a lower height waste is recommended. As long as you have the space, you could choose one of the higher traps, which also offer high flow rate and better water seal. The following applies to the sealing water: 1 cm of sealing water recedes after approx. one week. Thus, for example, if you choose the "Drop 50", unpleasant odours remain sealed for about 5 weeks.

Waterproofing kit is used to seal shower tray as well as connections between walls and floor. It is recommended for concrete and mandatory for timber flooring. Complete Underfloor Heating Kit

It is possible to include a complete Underfloor Heating Kit to your order. All you need to do is to choose the required size. Additional package, with heating mat, appropriate thermostat, sensor and instructions will be dispatched together with the other goods.

To calculate required mat size you need to get square coverage of the floor and exclude any permanent / fixed fixtures from them. It is also recommended to buy slightly smaller mat than calculated size - you can shape it but cannot cut the cables, therefore too large mat could not be installed.

SUNFLOOR Underfloor Heating

The SUNFLOOR Electric Heating Mat is a unique type of floor heating mat. The system has been designed to be used on an existing tiled floor or an existing finished floor, so that floor heating can still be installed there. The mat is approximately 4 mm thick and can be included in a layer of adhesive without any demolishing or grinding. The mat fits virtually underneath the surface. This decreases the heating time of the floor, that also makes this system suitable for rooms that are not permanently occupied including bathrooms, studies, playrooms, etc.

Underfloor heating mat set consists of all necessary parts for installation. One Thermostat is needed for every 23 m² of heating mat. It is included as optional, to allow ordering mat for custom areas, for example if you need 13 m² of mat total, you should buy 10 m² with one of the thermostats set as include and 3 m² with thermostat not included. In case you require less mat coverage than possible to buy from our product pictures, for example 14.5 m² you should always round low with your purchase and buy 14 m² as the mat is impossible to cut. It can be shaped but not shortened to size.

PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposition. The PVD coating process creates a thin film coating over a solid material which is vaporized in a vacuum chamber and deposited onto a target material. It is used to change the surface properties of the object to be coated, where new mechanical, chemical, electrical or optical characteristics are needed.

There are many benefits of PVD coating. It can provide a lifetime of protection from daily cleaning, which adds durability and value to our products. Traditional powder coating of stainless steel degrades with time and can easily tarnish or chip. PVD requires no clear top coats that fade or dull. It is four times harder than chrome which makes it corrosion and scratch resistant.

All of our drains are made from high quality grade 304 stainless steel. The colour of each drain is due to the PVD coating process. PVD coating of metals has proven to be better than powder coating. It will be more durable and resistant to fading, scratch marks and overall wear and tear. Unlike the powder coating process, PVD coating, also has the added benefit of the metal finish being visible. Ultimately, your drain will look amazing and last for a lifetime.

The Wiper MCR is available in three different surface finishes. Polished, Brushed and Matt. This is great if you are looking for a specific finish to match the rest of your fixtures. The three finishes are available for all available colour options, However the Brushed finish is the standard option that comes at no extra charge. The visible parts of the drain (the cover and frame) will come in the desired finish.

Surface Finish

Polished is a glossy finish. It has a smooth and shiny look that catches the eye. Characterized by a high degree of development, it's free from imperfections. There are numerous functional considerations, in addition to the visual appearance of polished stainless steel. Properly polished stainless steel looks good and helps to reduce the risk of bacteria being retained by the material when it is utilized in sanitary applications.

Surface Finish

Brushed finish is a semi gloss finish. The key difference between brushed and polished stainless steel is that brushed stainless steel has a rough surface, whereas polished stainless steel has a smooth surface. Brushed stainless steel is a type of metal having a dull polish that is made through friction. It is the the most practical of the three as it is the most scratch resistant.

Surface Finish

Matt is a dull finish. This is a very common stainless steel finish that is non-reflective and smooth in nature. The stainless steel is rolled through a special roller for a smooth, less pitted surface, before being descaled in an acid solution and polished for greater smoothness. It is commonly used for chemical and pharmaceutical equipment.
