Hi, our bathroom has a concrete floor and will be insulated with 100mm kingsman and then 50mm screed. Would it be best to construct a timber frame etc to site the tray former on before the floor is finished, I.e shutter the tray size within the insulation and screed around it and build frame to desired height? Or build It in the insulation and screed around it? Appreciate any advice you can give, cheers
Hello,
Thank you for your question.
There are 2 ways to install the tray, first most common one is to have it installed flushed with rest of the floor. The tray itself doesn't need insulation boards as it is based on XPS which is material providing great insulation itself.
Alternatively you can create a frame that the tray would sit onto. This may be a better solution if you prefer the same insulation under the tray as under rest of the floor. However in this case, you would have a step up, which most people want to avoid.
Many thanks for being interested in our products.
Kind regards
