When it comes to bespoke wet room solutions, we’ve learned to expect the unexpected. Recently, a client approached us with a rather unconventional request. Unlike most customers—who either use our online configurator or email us precise measurements—this individual wanted to send us a physical template by mail. Little did we know just how unique this project would turn out!
Receiving a 1:1 Template by Mail
Initially, we assumed “sending a template” might mean a simple sketch on A4 paper. Two weeks later, however, an oversized parcel arrived at our office. Upon opening it, we found a 1:1 scale template for a completely custom tray shaped like a seashell!
Creating the Technical Drawing
Using the client’s paper outline, our engineering team transformed the template into a detailed technical drawing, complete with all the necessary measurements and angles. We then shared this digital plan with the client to confirm everything—from the curvature of the shell’s edges to the drain location—before moving forward.
Production and Manufacturing
Once the client approved the final drawing, we began fabricating the bespoke tray. Thanks to our experience with non-standard shapes (including triangles, octagons, and more), the production process went smoothly. Our custom manufacturing methods allowed us to capture the elegant contours of the seashell design while maintaining the tray’s structural integrity.
Delivery and Final Installation
We shipped the finished seashell wet room tray to the client, who was thrilled to confirm its safe arrival. A few weeks later, they sent us photos of the fully installed shower, complete with tiling and complementary bathroom fixtures. The unique shape served as a striking focal point, proving that even the most imaginative designs can be brought to life with the right expertise.
The Power of Going Bespoke
This project underscores our commitment to accommodating creative visions. Whether you prefer using our online product configurator or mailing us a life-sized drawing, we’re always ready to take on new challenges. The “Seashell” tray stands as a testament to how collaboration, innovation, and a bit of bold design can yield extraordinary results.
