SAVE SOME SPACE IN YOUR BATHROOM WITH THESE CLEVER IDEAS (part 2)

Today, I want to continue the topic of saving space in a small bathrooms. Functional minimalism is possible to achieve even with a limited budget. We just have to skilfully apply ideas that someone has come before us.

SHOWER CURTAIN INSTEAD OF GLASS

If for some reason you do not want to or cannot use the open or sliding door in the shower use the old good curtain. Contrary to appearances, this is a much more practical solution than standard windows. First of all, we do not have to worry about stains from water and soap. Just throw it into the washing machine from time to time. When it’s gonna start to look worn you can just replace it with no money. Choose different colour or graphic to refresh the appearance of your bathroom. In addition, the rail on which it is suspended can be used as a hanger for shower accessories or simply for a towel.

UNDERFLOOR HEATING

Underfloor heating is an increasingly popular type of heating in modern bathrooms. This solution not only gives us a very pleasant warmth under the feet and precise temperature control, but also enables us to make another use of a wall where radiator was supposed to be mounted. With a small amount of space available, this solution may turn out to be a real game changer.

CORNER BASIN

Placing the sink in one of the corners of the bathroom is rather rarely chosen solution. The way of connecting the taps and waste pipes as well as dominating round shapes among the washbasins caused that hardly anybody comes up with the idea of placing the sink in the corner. However, you must know that such products are available and can solve many problems when designing a small bathroom. Contrary to appearances, the use of such a solution is very convenient. The standard wash basin protruding from the wall often takes up a lot of space and can interfere when moving between, for example, a shower and a toilet. This problem is completely solved with a triangular washbasin. In addition, we can make great use of room beneath it. We can use a corner cabinet, which (if well designed) can really surprise us with capacity and functionality.

MAKE USE OF EVERY CORNER

It is worth considering usage of other corners for corner shelves. They may not seem too pretty but are definitely useful. Corners is a space very rarely used when moving around the bathroom, so if we put there cosmetics and all the little beauty accessories they won’t be obstructive when moving around bathroom. Corner shelves are most often found in the shower, but we should not be afraid of using them as a standard cabinet with a vanity mirror or simply for decorations for candles or fragrances.

TOILET WITH INTEGRATED BASIN

With an extreme lack of space, you can use an unusual, but very economical and ecological solution. There are available on the market toilet seats with pre-mounted small washbasin. It can be an amazing space saver. In addition, we can choose a very ecological option in which the outflow from the sink is directly connected to the toilet tank. Thanks to this, instead of rinsing the waste with perfectly clean drinking water, we can use the waste water from the basin.
