How To Arrange Floor Tiles

Previously, we discussed four ways of laying tiles: straight, diagonal, staggered brick bond and modular. Below are some more interesting methods that we can use for tiling the bathroom.

Herringbone Tile Pattern

This solution is used when laying parquet. In tiling, this method is applied for wood imitation tiles. They require more work due to the need to cut more tiles near walls and corners than in standard arrangements. All tiles must be of the same size, we can combine when choosing colors, which of course can be different.

Basketweave Tile Pattern

This is a relatively simple way of laying. Created by squares of horizontal rectangular tiles next to one of the vertically aligned tiles. Recommended for small rooms, where the angles between the walls are perfectly straight.

Windmill Tile Pattern

You need rectangular and square tiles here. It is very important that the widths of both shapes are the same, and the rectangular lengths equal to two squares. We will get a very elegant, decorative result. You can choose two similar tile colors.

Unusual Shapes & Sizes

In addition to the various types of tile laying, we can also bet on unusual tile shapes, such as fish scales. Thanks to the different colors of the tiles, we can also come up with unusual patterns for their laying. Tiles with unusual shapes will enhance the decorative effect. For this decoration it is best to use tiles in a square, rhombus, hexagonal shape, or for example with floral motifs or other patterns. The originality used in such a bathroom will certainly attract the attention of all eyes.

Skilful adjustment of three shades will give the impression of spaciousness and depth, and if we use two, we will obtain an interior with an original, thoroughly modern finish.

Mosaics are very popular and fashionable, which decorate the interior exceptionally beautifully. On top it is also laying tiles only in places that require it - with sanitary equipment, and near the stream of water. - at the sanitary equipment, and near the stream of water. This will allow us to save funds, and let the other parts of the walls be creatively arranged using bricks or stone. Originality is a feature of modernity.

Let's play with them before gluing, because something ingenious can come out!
